CANCER Reform, Announce London Show
September 3, 2003Legendary U.K. death metallers CANCER have reunited and have announced a show at The Electrowerkz in London on Sunday, November 9. Support acts are yet to be confirmed. Tickets will be available shortly from Stargreen & Ticketweb and all usual ticket outlets.
Former in 1988 by vocalist/guitarist John Walker, drummer Carl Stokes and bassist Ian Buchanan, CANCER are most notable for recruiting the talents of guitarist James Murphy (DEATH, OBITUARY, TESTAMENT) for their second album, "Death Shall Rise" (1991). The band released two more albums following Murphy's departure, including their major label debut, "Black Faith" (EastWest),which failed to light up the sales charts and ultimately led to the group's break-up in 1996. Stokes later joined ASSERT before founding REMISSION with Walker.
